ABOUT STAK

Our obsession started in the kitchen.

Most food containers are either toxic, ugly, or both. We decided that wasn't good enough.

What we stand for

Clean Inside

Zero PFAS. No harmful coatings. Everything that touches your food is certified safe — not just "probably fine".

Built to Stack

Modular sizing that nests and stacks perfectly. Less drawer chaos. Fridge to bag in seconds.

Made to Show

Borosilicate glass and clean lines that look good on the counter, not just behind a cabinet door.

Designed to Last

Airtight seals, thermal-shock-resistant glass, and lids built to outlive your last set of containers.

The numbers

1 in 3 food containers sold in the EU contain PFAS.

European Food Safety Authority, 2023

The PFAS problem

PFAS — per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances — are synthetic chemicals found in thousands of everyday products. They're in non-stick coatings, food packaging, waterproof clothing, and yes, most food containers. Scientists call them "forever chemicals" because they don't break down in the environment or in your body.

On August 12, 2026, the EU's updated food contact materials regulation comes into force — restricting PFAS use in any product that touches food. It's the most significant chemical safety legislation in years. Most brands are scrambling to comply. STAK was already there.

We didn't build STAK because of the ban. We built it because the problem was obvious and the market wasn't solving it. Borosilicate glass bodies. PFAS-free Tritan lids. Zero compromises on what goes near your food.

OUR JOURNEY

How we got here

  1. 2024

    The idea

Frustrated by toxic containers and ugly alternatives, we started asking a simple question: why doesn't a genuinely clean, well-designed food container exist?

  2. Early 2025

    R&D

Twelve months of material testing, factory visits, and failed prototypes. Borosilicate glass bodies. PFAS-free Tritan lids. Getting the stack geometry exactly right.

  3. March 2026

    Brand launch

STAK goes live. Waitlist opens. The mission becomes public: clean storage for people who care what goes near their food.

  4. August 2026

    EU ban + STAK ships

The EU PFAS ban on food contact materials takes effect. STAK is certified, stocked, and ready to ship across the EU.
